Richenda Power — The Clown and the Dancer Gibraltar

Richenda Power discusses The Clown and the Dancer with Jennifer Ballantine Perera at the Garrison Library on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at 2pm, during the Gibunco Gibraltar Literary Festival.

Inspired by her parents’ letters and her childhood in Gibraltar from 1956 to 1960, the work combines memoir, poetry, family history and social observation. It contrasts her mother’s life as a theatrical dancer with her father’s work as a welfare officer in post-war Gibraltar.

Open seating: £13 standard or £9 senior/student. Senior tickets are for ages 60+ and student tickets for ages 18 and under. Maximum ten tickets per reservation. Additional service or delivery charges may apply. Hearing loops are provided. Attendance includes consent to organiser photography/filming for promotional use worldwide in perpetuity. Tickets cannot normally be cancelled, exchanged or refunded; cancellation, rescheduling or material-change provisions apply under the ticket seller’s terms, with booking fees excluded from refunds. No finishing time is published.
