Lines of Light — Haiku Poetry Installation at Gibraltar Lighthouse Gibraltar

Contribute to Lines of Light, a community haiku poetry installation at Gibraltar Lighthouse, from 15 October to 30 November 2026.

The Gibraltar Heritage Trust invites visitors to write a haiku inspired by Europa Point’s landscape, heritage and natural beauty. Handwritten poems are added to the staircase, creating a growing public-authored artwork as part of the Gibunco Gibraltar Literary Festival’s affiliate programme.

During festival week, 9–15 November, festival ticket holders are entitled to a Lighthouse admission discount; its amount and redemption conditions are not yet announced. The project announcement does not specify opening hours, participation charges, or which Lighthouse admission ticket includes access to the installation. Admission should not be assumed to be free. General Lighthouse visitor terms require suitable stable footwear for climbing; high heels, flip-flops and open or unstable shoes are not permitted on the stairs. Access and ticket arrangements should be confirmed before visiting.
