Annual Public Iftar

Catholic Community Centre
Schedule
Date
Sorry, but this event has already ended.

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. It is also the holiest month of the year.

Muslims believe the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH during this month.

It is a month of fasting, not just from food and drink but also from worldly pleasure. A month of charity, reflection, sacrifice and community.

A month that brings people together and reignites our collective sense of responsibility for each other and for our beautiful planet.

The Ramadan Public Iftar is back again! We are extremely excited to welcome you all to our community event of the YEAR! See you all soon!

FAQ

Do I need to be fasting to attend?

No, you do not need to be fasting to attend this event. However, we will be running a parallel challenge called the Ramadan Unity Fast.

Here we challenge anyone who is not fasting to attempt the fast from sunrise to sunset and then donate the proceeds of their 'missed meals' to charity.

What is the dress code?

There is no set dress code. We ask that you wear comfortable clothing of your choosing and clothing that is suitable for a community event during a spiritual month for many of your fellow Gibraltarians.

Are there any options for vegans/vegetarians?

As we do every year, we will make sure to cater (food wise) for anyone who has specific dietary requirements. Please just make sure to let us know about these when you book your ticket.
