Sorry, but this event has already ended.

Throughout history Gibraltar has been unsuccessfully targeted by many forces, trying to take advantage of its unique position as the bridge between Europe, Africa & the Mediterranean Sea. The most notable was the Great Siege of 1779 where Spanish & French armies were kept at bay by the British forces. Up until this day Gibraltar has held firm & defended itself, but now is your time to see if you can conquer the Rock’s defences.

The Gibraltar Under Siege Endurance Race is a one-of-a-kind endurance challenge that combines physical stamina, historical landmarks, and Gibraltar's iconic terrain. The race consists of three distinct routes, each offering a unique journey through Gibraltar's storied past and breath-taking landscapes:

  • Stage 1 Saturday, 28 February 2026, 9:00 AM - An early morning challenge to kick off the event.
  • Stage 2 Saturday, 28 February 2026, 5:00 PM - A late afternoon race under the setting sun.
  • Stage 3 Sunday, 1 March 2026 9am - A grand finale to close the weekend.

Participants will navigate a demanding course inspired by the sieges that shaped Gibraltar's history, taking them through World War II tunnels, along Gibraltar's Bastion walls, past the Moorish Castle, up to the top of the Rock at O'Hara's Battery, and into St. Michael's Cave, where they'll weave through stalactites and stalagmites. This event celebrates resilience, community, and the unique identity of the Rock, making it a standout addition to Gibraltar's tourism calendar.
