Town Area is home to most of Gibraltar’s retail establishments. Main Street, running through the pedestrianised old town from Casemates Square all the way up to Southport Gates, almost covers the entire length of the city, its buildings exhibiting a blend of Andalusian, Moorish, Portuguese, Genoese, and British architecture. Casemates, is the largest of the two main squares located in the city centre of Gibraltar, and is used for special events throughout the year, hosting various shows, festivals and nightlife.
