About Adrian Cabedo

I was born in 1956 in Gibraltar and started painting early on in life. In the past I have worked as a full time artist, commercial diver, photographer, climber and yacht skipper. I received my first art prize in 1968 which essentially began my artistic life. I prefer to paint from nature, and living in Gibraltar, with southern Spain at my doorstep I am never short of stunning and varied subjects. Although primarily self taught, in more recent years I have been painting with and learning from, my master Roger Shantz. My main interests lie in the land and seascape of the area, and all that goes on around it. I first exhibited at the Gibraltar Open Art Exhibition in 1982, where I won third prize fora selection of watercolours. Since thenI have painted and exhibited annually in the Gibraltar Opens, having been awarded many commendations and prizes along the way.
