Serenade for Strings - Autumn Classical Concert

Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture is delighted to announce this year’s Classical Concert, a highlight in our autumn cultural programme. The event will take place on Thursday 2nd October 2025 at The Convent Ballroom at 8pm.

Organised by the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society on behalf of the Gibraltar Government, this year’s concert will feature a performance of ‘Serenade for Strings’ by the distinguished European Sinfonietta Strings, under the direction of renowned violinist Alexa Farré Brandkamp.

The programme is as follows.
W. A Mozart: Divertimento in F Major, K. 138
E. Elgar: Serenade for Strings in E Minor, Op. 20
A. Dvořák: Serenade for Strings in E Major Op. 22

Tickets priced at £25 and will be available online at buytickets.gi. A limited number of tickets priced at £12 for Senior Citizens as well as Student tickets free of charge will be available from the John Mackintosh Hall reception at 308 Main Street.
