Eastside Info
EASTSIDE
The Eastside of Gibraltar feels like a retreat from the city type way of life. No doubt during the summer months, you will want to cool off at one of the fabulous beaches that Gibraltar offers. Starting with Eastern Beach, the biggest beach of Gibraltar, a fantastic location where you can sit back in awe as you view the magnificent north face of the Rock that overshadows anything in sight. The sheer height and weightiness of the cliff is nothing short of breath-taking. A short walk down, you will find Catalan Bay, a very popular and extremely picturesque beach and village. Catalan Bay has an incredible history dating as far back as the 1600s. The brightness, the colours, the smell of seafood, the smiles and festive appeal, honestly make you feel like you are in another world of its own! Continuing to walk in a southerly direction from Catalan Bay along Sir Herbert Miles Road, or taking the bus to Both Worlds housing complex, you will arrive at the magnificent Sandy Bay Beach. This amazingly picturesque man made beach is the southernmost of the three beaches which line the Eastern side of the Rock, hugged by the Mediterranean coast of Gibraltar. There are definite plans secured for luxurious residences, a huge underground winery and other amazing projects in the pipeline. Investing along the Eastside of Gibraltar has never been more secure.
